The currently signed-in user is automatically signed in to the Company Portal based on their Azure AD identity. After you select this setting, you can assign the Windows 10 Company Portal app by using any of the previously discussed options.

Continue to wait the ten minutes for an updated status. Share and recommend apps to your work or school contacts. The following steps describe how to share a link directly from Company Portal.

If you don’t see an app you want to use, select Get apps in Store to see other available apps. Apps are assigned to you by your organization. Your organization will require you to have some apps and will make other apps optional. To find out which apps are required versus optional, go to Installed apps and look under the column Required by your organization. Optional apps: These apps are selected by your organization and are appropriate and useful for work or school. They’re made available to you but it’s up to you whether you want to install them.

These are the only kind of apps you’ll find in the Company Portal to install. Required apps: These apps are necessary for work and school and are deployed directly to your device. These apps are automatically installed for you without intervention. Apps are also made available to you based on your device type. For example, if you’re using the Company Portal app for Windows, you’ll have access to Windows apps, but not iOS apps. If there’s an app you need, but don’t see in Company Portal, request it.

You’ll find the same contact information on the Company Portal website. View a list of all apps installed on your device. The Installed apps page lists the following details about each app:. Use Sort by to rearrange the apps assignment type, publisher, alphabetically by name, or chronologically by publish date. Use Filter by to limit the apps you see by installation status.

If no apps are available, you’ll see a message that no company apps were installed. Depending on the size of your company, there could be multiple versions of Office available for download from the Company Portal.

If you’re not sure which version is best for your role, contact your IT support person for guidance. Be sure to regularly update and patch the app yourself. You can install the Company Portal app from select Chinese app marketplaces instead.

The permission text is controlled by Google and can’t be changed. If you approve access, your device can write its data logs to the device SD card. Approval enables logs to be moved via USB cable. If you deny access, logs aren’t written to the device’s SD card.

To ignore future messages about this permission, select the checkbox next to Never ask again when prompted again. To enroll your Android device with the app, you must allow Company Portal access to your contacts. The Intune Company Portal app never accesses your contacts.

If you approve access, Intune can create a work account for you and manage the Azure Active Directory identity that’s registered to you on your device.

If you deny access, you can’t enroll your device for work.

Sign in to the Company Portal website for your organization’s contact information. This can be done via Group Policy, the Compliance Settings feature of Configuration Manager, or any other method applicable in your organization.

If you have multiple primary sites in a hierarchy, we strongly recommend adding a set of Application Catalog roles for each of the primary sites, and using Automatic detection to control the default Application Catalog Website Points.

When the user browses the list of applications in the Company Portal, the app will display the applications that have been made available to the user, similar to the Configuration Manager Application Catalog functionality. Launch the Company Portal from the Start menu. The currently signed-in user is automatically signed in to the Company Portal based on their Azure AD identity. The Overview tab shows details about the app, such as size, version, and date published.

To see that Configuration Manager is the management service for this app, switch to the Additional information tab. To install the app, select Install. The Company Portal shows installation status, and you’ll see a notification when it completes. Select the ellipsis After you install a Configuration Manager web app, select the ellipsis menu, then select Open in Browser to launch the web app.

If a Configuration Manager application fails to install with a known error code, select the failed status link to search on the error code. If you change the client setting for Company Portal, when a user selects a Configuration Manager notification, it launches the Company Portal. If the notification is for a scenario the Company Portal doesn’t support, selecting the notification launches Software Center.

The Company Portal app will be installed in device context when assigned to the Autopilot group and will be installed on the device before the user logs in.
