Differences between Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Teams Free (classic).

 

Check Anyone can invite additional members to allow both admins and members to invite new members to the org. Uncheck the box to allow only admins to send invitations. Upgrade to a paid Microsoft subscription to get access to more advanced features and admin controls. Note: This feature lets you remove members, but not other admins. Click Upgrade to begin the process of upgrading from Microsoft Teams Free classic to the full version of Microsoft Teams that comes with Microsoft services.

Your org’s members might contact you about upgrading when they run into Teams Free classic limitations , such as file storage limits or the maximum number of members. I myself contacted MS support and the agent was quite vague about this he used «I think So using these expressions, he «said» that this organization option has been removed from the free version in December ?

If this is the case, it is quite disappointing – this scaled-down version is of little use to me and my small business. Unfortunately, removing this is kind of «logical». Originally, Teams was meant for larger businesses. Then came the Covid and the need for online work for everyone. So it seems like to me that they created a two-tier version of Teams, one for organizations with paid subscription and one free «for the masses». They managed to roll this out in December Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.
