I am having the same problems after a resent windows update. In reply to R. Burg’s post on June 12, Yes, I got it resolved eventually.

Solution for me was to open Control Panel, double-click Mail. Click on E-mail Accounts. Click on the Data Files tab. Click on Settings. Click on the Advanced tab. Check on «Use Cached Exchange Mode». Close all dialog boxes and launch Outlook. If the «Use Cached Exchange Mode» is already checked when following these steps, uncheck it.
