Crashes immediately on start up every time Windows 8. While I’m at it, what is the point of staying with PSE if I get penalized for upgrading with crashes?? What is the point of the gazillions of hours put into tagging, etc??? Banging my head against a wall many times. Me too. What a hairball this program is. I can’t get support or my money back. Grace – It’s astounding they treat customers like this. The Photoshop Elements 15 crashes upon opening DONT buy photoshop Here are the issues discovered: 1.

The guy removed that through a session where he had access to my pc. Sorry, too many to detail here. So not sure what that was about, forgot to ask him. In conclusion, just go and get chat time with Adobe. The guy was so helpful and FAST!

Good luck. I lost most of the day on this. I hope my post helps some of you. Stunning lack of support from Adobe That’s for sure Add me to the list of fools who have spent untold hours trying to make PS 12 Organizer open and work.

I want to use PS 12 not study it. Adobe is a joke with their solutions. Here’s the best solution Well said. Unfortunately I bought it online from Adobe and can’t get a refund. Six months later I’m having the same problems as all the people above. What is the fix for this? I can’t believe Adobe sells this. I bought Lightroom because Elements 11 doesn’t work. Then I find lightrooom doesn’t work with Premiere Elements Then I buy Phototoshop elements 12 and that crashes and stalls.

This is generic crashing behavior. That means any number of issues could be a possible cause. There isn’t simply one step that is guaranteed to fix it. In fact, it is highly likely that everyone who is reporting this behavior has a unique cause, so what fixes it for them won’t fix it for anybody else.

Things we’d want to try to see if we can figure out the root cause would be to run the computer in selective startup instructions on how to do so depend on whether you are running Windows or Mac. Also, a new user account should be tried. These are the two most common areas that can be a source of such behavior.

Remember, neither of these two steps are being presented as a solution, but as a test to help find a root cause. Most common causes would be bugs in driver code video, printer, scanner, mouse , bugs in third party plugins, corrupt preferences files, and corrupt OS cache files especially font caches.

Brett N. Not acceptable. We’re not screwing around out here, we have real work to do and Adobe is making it impossible right now. George, there is no magic answer that we are refusing to give to you. While behaviors may be the same, root causes rarely are.

Likely, everyone who is posting here will have a very different solution. As you can see below, Herbert has uncovered part of the root of the cause on his machine.

I am guessing that this does not at all apply in your situation. The real problem here is that we do not yet have enough information about your particular circumstances to provide THE solution. Instead, we are providing guidelines for troubleshooting to help find the root cause. Because there are so many possible factors, these guidelines may never touch on the root issue in your case just as they were not in Herbert’s case.

We are providing the best help possible with the information currently available. Why is this so hard, what is wrong with you people? How do I get a refund? Uninstalling and reinstalling software rarely solves problems.
